HortEx Vietnam to join forces with Agritechnica Asia!

The organizers of HortEx Vietnam, Nova Exhibitions from the Netherlands and VEAS from Vietnam, are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with DLG (German Agricultural Society), organizer of Agritechnica, the world’s leading agricultural machinery exhibition held biennially in Hanover (Germany), to co-locate HortEx Vietnam together with Agritechnica Asia in an annual cycle, alternating between Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Bangkok (Thailand), commencing in 2025 and starting in Ho Chi Minh City followed by Bangkok in 2026.

Agritechnica Asia is a spin-off of Agritechnica in Germany. Agritechnica Asia aims to bring together the finest minds and leading stakeholders from across the agriculture sector, providing a space to discuss, innovate and co-create solutions that are not just relevant to Asia, but the world at large.

Synergies between the two exhibitions include machinery and crop cultivation, offering visitors an efficient overview of available technologies. By bringing the two exhibitions under one roof the organizers will be able to offer its exhibitors and visitors an even greater platform to start or expand their business throughout the Asian region.

Vietnam’s agricultural industry has made substantial progress over the past years and  achieved expected results in 2023. The agricultural sector remains to be a bright spot in the import-export picture, continuing to be a foundation for the economy. Besides, Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached a record high of 5.6 billion USD in 2023, an increase of 65.6% compared to 2022.

HortEx Vietnam is since its launch in 2018 the first specialized International Exhibition and Conference for Horticultural and Floricultural Production and Processing Technology in Vietnam and has grown significantly over the years. The exhibition is targeting trade visitors from Vietnam but also from other countries in the region and beyond.

Over the past years the share of International visitors has gradually increased, by alternating between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, exhibitors will have greater opportunities to serve not only the Vietnamese market but the entire Asian region and visitors will have a more efficient overview of available technologies. The new format will offer cross-agriculture synergies, including horticulture and floriculture.

“Many of our exhibitors have indicated that they would like to see us alternate between
Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok to better serve the Asian market. I am very pleased that we, as organizers, can demonstrate that we follow market needs and that organizers team up to create a platform for the entire region. In addition, it is a great honor for us to be working with such a professional organizer as DLG and to be co-located with Agritechnica Asia,”
says Kuno Jacobs, Managing Director of Nova Exhibitions.

HortEx Vietnam is also being supported by IPM which is the world’s leading horticultural exhibition held annually in Essen (Germany). The strong organizer team as well as the extensive support from business partners, regional agricultural organizations, governments and political decision-makers in both Vietnam as well as in Thailand and throughout the region will guarantee a high quality and effective exhibition platform for both visitors and exhibitors.

The next edition of HortEx Vietnam will take place from 13-15 March 2024 in the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The first co-located edition with Agritechnica Asia will take place from 12-14 March 2025, again in the SECC.
